Gravity Survey

These surveys play a pivotal role in making well-informed decisions, practicing sustainable resource management, and ensuring the safety and stability of infrastructure and communities. Furthermore, gravity surveys are indispensable for gaining insights into subsurface geology, natural resources, and geological hazards within a country. The NLCS imposes a fee for gravity services, with the specific details outlined in Annexure 3 in Manual for Fees and Service Charges.

Procedure
  • Survey requisition form from client. (form 1 Client application) under Forms section
  • Cost estimation from the service provider and reviewed by the client of the survey
  • Release of payment by the client.
  • Planning for Gravity survey,
  • Gravity observation using Gravimeter and GNSS observations for positioning.
  • Processing of Geoid model
  • Provide Geoid model to the clients
